This video is about Wind directions-in the  Aeolian Islands

& the recommended docking in each island for maximum shelter 

The typical summer winds are from the NW (mistral) occasionally going around to the W (ponente).

There may also be other winds from the N (tramontane), the NE (Gregale), the E (Levant) the SE (Sirocco) and the SW (Libeccio).

Squalls may be encountered among the islands, but they rarely last for long.
