Before we drop anchor on 2019, I thought it might be a good time to share with you the needs and vision of the cruise channel
As an industrial photographer and a sailor, I saw the lack of visual content for cruising; content that contains explanatory videos on tips for cruisers”cruiser” and tricks and examples from professional cruises
The first thought that came to my mind was on the arrival of a new and unknown destination: what does the marina/bay/ harbour look like? What are the area’s attractions? and so on.
Of course, there are excellent Pilot Book books, but surely having real, recent eyes with the right intent helps.
Along with uploading marinas and bays, the next thing to ask is to draw a passage between them and see how a route can be offered that combines places, views, local food and spirits.
All of this together brought me to the need for the construction of the International Cruise Site (still adding more and more attractive boating areas and destinations) to show to sailors the world of marinas/bays, routes, places and attractions in the form of rich visual content that incorporates weather, depths, etc.
